The Haafez Villa project tried to meet its objects by focusing on; project context, client needs, our firm vision, and the ongoing interactions between architecture and society’s economy.

Unlike the prevalent contemporary architecture in Lavasan in Tehran, Iran, which mostly includes white or concrete cubic forms, we decided to employ some touches of earlier form of Iranian architecture. This project intends to evoke the sense of belonging, ethnic attributes and the society common memories in the design. It also focused on, Qualities such as Enclosures, Confidentiality, Privacy, simplicity, along with technical features in architecture and engineering services as well as some spatial elements and qualities of Iran traditional architecture as corridors, porches, alleys, etc.

Presence of two allies on the north and south sides of the project’s site were the first initiatives for the function distribution scenario. Each pass way will be connected to a yard on each side and an internal passage will stich the two yards on site. Placing the third passage will break up the more private parts of the villa like the living space from the supporting and public functions.

Hafez Villa Project is trying to meet the residential and functional needs of a dweller as well as creating a suitable living environment by establishing a good balance between some touches of Iranian traditional architecture such as round arches, courtyards and plants as a living icon (not a decorative element) with brutal solid forms of the western countries.
